Account information. When you create a Spool account, we collect your name, email address, and password. You may also sign in using Google, in which case we receive basic profile information from Google consistent with the permissions you grant.
Purchase information. When you buy a Pack, we record the transaction, including which Pack was purchased, the date, and the purchase amount. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages visited, videos viewed, device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, and session duration. This helps us understand how the Platform is used and how to improve it.
Communications. If you contact us by email or through the Platform, we retain those communications to respond to your inquiry and improve our support.
Cookies and tracking technologies. Spool uses cookies and similar tools to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, analyze traffic patterns, and serve relevant content. See Section 5 for more on cookies.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Platform, including to create and manage your account, fulfill purchases and grant access to purchased content, process payments through Stripe, deliver video content through Mux, send transactional communications about your account or purchases, respond to support requests, analyze usage to improve the Platform, and comply with applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising on behalf of third parties.
We may send you occasional product updates or announcements related to Spool. You can opt out of non-transactional emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link or contacting us directly. We cannot offer an opt-out from transactional messages such as purchase confirmations and account notices.
Service providers. We share information with third-party providers who help us operate the Platform. These include Stripe (payment processing), Mux (video delivery), Google Firebase (authentication and database), and Google Analytics (usage analysis). These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments.
Legal compliance. We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of FlyFishFinder, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If FlyFishFinder is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change as required by law.
We do not share your personal information with fishing guides or other third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We retain your account information and purchase records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from active systems as soon as reasonably practicable, though some data may remain in backup systems for a period of time before it is overwritten.
Spool uses cookies and similar local storage technologies for authentication (keeping you logged in), security, and usage analytics. Analytics tools such as Google Analytics may set their own cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may prevent some Platform features from working properly.

In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
