Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using Spool. By creating an account or purchasing content on Spool, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FlyFishFinder, LLC ("FlyFishFinder," "we," "us," or "our"), the company that owns and operates Spool (the "Platform"), accessible at spool.flyfishfinder.com. By using Spool, you also agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
Arbitration notice: except for certain dispute types described below, you agree that disputes between you and FlyFishFinder will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, and you waive your right to participate in a class action. You may opt out by contacting spool.support@gmail.com within thirty (30) days of accepting these Terms.
Spool is a digital marketplace where licensed fishing guides and expert anglers ("Guides") publish regional intelligence packs ("Packs"). A Pack is a collection of streaming videos, GPS access points, and fishing intel covering a specific geographic region. Anglers purchase a Pack once and retain access to it for life through their Spool account.
Spool does not sell physical goods. All content is delivered digitally and streamed over the internet. There are no downloads, no subscriptions, and no recurring charges.
A Spool account is required to purchase and access content. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.
Your account is personal to you. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account with others. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at spool.support@gmail.com.
Access to purchased Packs is tied to the account used at the time of purchase. If you lose access to your account, contact us to assist with recovery.
FlyFishFinder may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. We are not liable for any losses resulting from account termination.
All Pack purchases are one-time transactions. Once purchased, you receive access to that Pack's content through your Spool account for as long as the Pack remains available on the Platform, including any future videos added to that region by the Guide.
"Lifetime access" means access for the duration of your active Spool account and for so long as the Pack is available on the Platform. FlyFishFinder reserves the right to remove or discontinue any Pack, region, or the Platform itself at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to a Guide's departure, content disputes, or cessation of Spool's operations. In the event of Platform discontinuation, FlyFishFinder's liability to you is limited to the refund terms described in Section 4. No additional compensation, damages, or obligations are owed by FlyFishFinder or its parent entities as a result of Platform discontinuation.
Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change. The price shown at the time you complete your purchase is the price you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe, and you are subject to Stripe's terms at the time of checkout.
By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, including the refund policy set out in Section 4 below. Your explicit agreement at checkout is a condition of purchase.
Purchases are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of the transaction date, provided you have not streamed any video content from the Pack. If any video in the Pack has been accessed, the purchase is non-refundable regardless of the time elapsed. After 7 days, all sales are final except as required by applicable law.
Spool logs the first access timestamp for each video in a Pack at the moment a streaming session is initiated. This record is used to determine refund eligibility. If our records show that one or more videos have been streamed, no refund will be issued.
To request a refund within the 7-day window, email spool.support@gmail.com with your order details. Refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take several business days to appear depending on your bank or card issuer.
If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to contest the dispute using our access logs as evidence of content delivery.
All Spool content is delivered by streaming only. Videos are not available for download. Playback requires an active internet connection and a valid Spool account.
Streaming links are generated dynamically and are time-limited for security purposes. If a video link expires during playback, refreshing the page will generate a new one.
FlyFishFinder makes reasonable efforts to maintain platform availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or factors outside our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.
Spool is a platform that connects anglers with independent content creators. Guides who publish content on Spool are independent contractors, not employees or agents of FlyFishFinder, LLC. FlyFishFinder does not control, supervise, or direct the work of Guides.
Content on Spool, including GPS access points, fishing conditions, fly recommendations, flow rate guidance, and regulation notes, is created and provided by Guides based on their personal knowledge and experience. FlyFishFinder does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or current applicability of any Guide-provided information.
Fishing conditions, regulations, and access points change. Always verify local regulations with your state fish and wildlife agency before fishing. Do not rely solely on Spool content for decisions about access, safety, or legal compliance. You assume all risk associated with your use of information found on the Platform.
FlyFishFinder owns the Spool platform, including its design, code, branding, and the compiled presentation of content within it. Guides retain ownership of their underlying expertise and likeness. The assembled Pack product, including its structure, presentation, and distribution within Spool, is owned by FlyFishFinder.
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to access and view Pack content through your Spool account. You may not reproduce, redistribute, screen-record for redistribution, or otherwise commercially exploit Spool content in any form.
The Spool name, logo, and related marks are trademarks of FlyFishFinder, LLC. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
You agree to use Spool only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You may not attempt to circumvent video access controls, reproduce or distribute paid content, interfere with the Platform's operation, scrape or harvest data from the Platform, or use Spool in any way that could harm FlyFishFinder, its Guides, or other users.
Spool uses third-party services including Stripe for payment processing, Mux for video delivery, and Firebase for authentication and data storage. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. FlyFishFinder is not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
The Platform may contain links to external websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
The Platform and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. FlyFishFinder does not warrant that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the content will be accurate, complete, or current.
Fishing involves inherent risks. Nothing on Spool constitutes safety guidance, and FlyFishFinder is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your time on the water.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlyFishFinder and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Spool or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Spool will not exceed the amount you paid to FlyFishFinder for the specific Pack giving rise to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FlyFishFinder, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of Spool, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
We encourage you to contact us first with any concern at spool.support@gmail.com. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be settled by binding arbitration under the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association, before a single arbitrator in the State of Minnesota. You waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in class-wide proceedings. You may opt out of arbitration by notifying us within 30 days of accepting these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles.
FlyFishFinder may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted to this page with a revised date. Continued use of Spool after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
