We designed this so that a guide who's never made a video before can have a pack live in a week.
Walk your spots. Talk through what you know: water levels, access, the reads that matter. Raw footage is fine. We're after the knowledge, not the production. Most guides film in a day or two on the water.
Send your footage and GPS pins via WeTransfer. We handle editing, transcoding, hosting, formatting, Stripe setup, and publishing. You review the finished pack and give the green light. That's it.
Once your pack is live, every sale deposits 55% directly to your bank account via Stripe. Monthly payouts, real-time earnings dashboard. No maintenance required. Your pack earns while you're on the water.

Common questions
Do I need professional video equipment?
No. A modern iPhone or Android phone shoots more than enough quality. We've seen great packs filmed entirely on a phone mounted to a fishing hat. The content is what matters, not production value.
Won't this hurt my guiding business by giving away spots?
It's the opposite. Your pack reaches anglers who will never book a guided trip: different budget, different trip style. And guided clients who buy your pack first tend to trust you more before they even call. It extends your reach, it doesn't compete with it.
How much time does building a pack actually take?
The filming takes most of the time, typically one or two outings. Dropping GPS pins takes an hour. Reviewing the finished pack takes another hour. Most guides have their pack live within two weeks of deciding to do it.
When and how do I get paid?
Monthly via Stripe Connect direct deposit to your bank account. You'll have an earnings dashboard showing every sale in real time. We pay out on the 1st of each month for the prior month's sales.
Who owns the content?
You do. You grant Spool a license to sell the content through our platform, but you retain full ownership. If you ever want to pull your pack, you can, with 30 days' notice.
What if I fish multiple regions or methods?
Build multiple packs. Guides with two or three packs typically see 2-3x the monthly earnings. Each pack covers one region or a focused set of water. Anglers know exactly what they're getting.
